This is a two part release by brothers ‘Anti-Slam’ & ‘W.E.A.P.O.N’ and the head honcho from label ‘Influential House’, Cole Jonson. The release consists of an original mix and a remix by YellowHeads. The original has a nice bouncy feeling with a big rise into a techy bassline drop and a nice filtered vocal loop too. The YellowHeads remix is slightly more chilled out than the original and is more of a deep tech remix. It has a nice bounce to it and I could imagine it absolutely going off on a club system. Great release for Phunk traxx!

Tom Sawyer Vs Hazzaro & Jerome Robins – Tribeca
A very well known vocal loop on this one, very well produced by some of my favourite producers at the moment. Something fresh on Instereo Recordings. Bumpy flowing bassline under some nice synth stabs, a definitely main room track! Love it..

Mike Vale & NDKj ft Marga Sol – Say My Name
Big club track with a great vocal. It has a really nice breakdown and build too. This isn’t as hard or main room as I usually like but there’s something about it that I really like. The production on this is second to none, the drums are awesome and the bassline pattern sits really nice underneath them. Well worth a listen..

PREVIEW: Dolly Rockers – Always Moving On
As I mentioned in a previous post, the Dolly Rockers is a name that’s going to be mentioned a lot on this blog. I was completely blown away by their last track on Kidology London, ‘Voices’, and now they have another slammer forthcoming on Influential House Records. This one starts off as a really nice main room house track, it breaks down into some nice piano chords and then builds and drops into an amazing, bouncy, warped bassline banger! This one is certain to get some hands in the air on any dancefloor. An absolute must have for the gig bag! The release date for this is set at 4th February. Keep an eye out on here as I’ll update with Beatport links then.

Paco Maroto & Florian Gasperini – Chobamba (Unique CRO Remix)
Now this is a bit of me! I absolutely love this style, tech house at its best. Lovely flowing bassline sitting nicely under bouncy tech drums. A repetitive vocal stab which sounds familiar, maybe taken from CeCe Peniston’s ‘Finally’ track but not sure! I cannot stress my love for this tune.

Matt Caseli, Olic & Maliblue – Chase The Sun
I absolutely loved the original of this track and I love this remix too. Although this one is labelled as an original track it’s actually a rework of the classic by Planet Funk (also credited by Zulu Records on Soundcloud). In this rework they have captured all the elements of the originals euphoric breakdown and then built it up into a big drop with a nice funky bassline and some bouncy tech drums. I love it and will definitely be playing it both in the clubs and on my radio show! Big tune on Zulu Records 🙂

Chromeo – Sexy Socialite (Chocolate Puma Remix)
There’s something about this tune that I just love! It’s upbeat, bouncy and has a great drop. Something a little different from Chocolate Puma, but I can definitely imagine this being played out a lot! There are a few other remixes of this track but I wanted to point out this one in particular. You need this!

Inner City – Big Fun (DJ PP & Jerome Robins Mix)
Okay, so I’m a bit late on this one but it’s given me some time to listen to all the remixes of this classic and showcase my favourite. Recently I’ve heard the Full Intention remix of this being played on radio and in the clubs but I wanted to give this version the recognition it really deserves. An absolute belter of a remix with all of the original elements put in plus some added beefyness to the drums. Big breakdowns and a lovely drop too, I will definitely be playing this out asap 🙂
