Soul Avengerz – Let Yourself Go

Forthcoming on Urbana Recordings. Something fresh from Soul Avengerz and it’s a biggie! Two mixes of this track, both have HUGE basslines. The Gardy Mix is slightly more bouncy with more stripped down drums, excellent version and would hold its own on any main room dancefloor. The Rober Gaez Remix has an old skool warped bass riff which carries the track, nice skippy drums too!

Pete Griffiths ft Cevin Fisher – Chicago

Pete Griffiths has signed this stormer to Toolroom Records with remixes from Weiss, Vanilla Ace and Federico Scavo. The original is nice and punchy with a great vocal, really nice breakdown with a great build and drop. The Federico Scavo remix is slightly different to his usual style as he has made this version almost electro, great remix! Weiss has taken the track really deep with some sketchy drums and nice arpeggiated keys, something for the underground! Vanilla Ace’s remix is more of a mainstream ‘deep-house’ version with emphasized bass, a great build and drop. I’m not sure which is my favourite mix, possible the original version or the Vanilla Ace?! It’s a close call! Due out tomorrow (Weds 10th December) according to the Toolroom Soundcloud page.

Mario Ochoa – It’s About To Go Down

There’s so many names in the tech house scene that are just doing it right now and standing out in that list is Mario Ochoa. I have recently blogged about his ‘Runaway’ track that came out on Avenue Recordings. This is something new coming out on Suara and it’s nothing short of spectacular! BIG old skool speed garage sounding bassline giving it a real dark element but some real choppy vocal over the top giving it a real tech house bounce. Can’t wait for the release!

Belocca – Tear The House Down

This one reminds me of the old garage days. Released on 1605 Records, I literally cannot wait to drop this at the weekend. Massive old skool sounding bassline complimented by some rappy looped vocals, amazing track! I’m struggling to express my love for this! If you’re a tech house dj and don’t have this in your set then you defintely need to revise your set! BUY.THIS.NOW.

Groovebox – Fat Like

Groovebox is a name that has had a lot of attention lately, and well deserved too in my opinion. The name of this track describes my feelings towards it. Huge tech house tune, bouncy with a big bassline and looped vocals, definitely a main room club track. This release is perfectly complimented with a remix from Hollen, it’s not as lively as the original but would still stand its ground on a main room dancefloor. Released on Deeperfect, a must for the set!

DOJO Music – Winter Weapons EP

Here is a two track EP released on Oliver Lang’s label ‘DOJO Music’. First up it’s The Dolly Rockers track ‘Scat’, a great main room house track with some nice skippy drums complimented by some choppy vocal stabs. Definitely one for the gig bag! Next up is ‘Revolution’ by Brighton based Nick Hook and Martin Sharp, absolutely love this one! A great build up and huge techy drop, another banger from a great label! (I am slightly biased though as they released an EP from me last month!). Buy this now! 😉

I posted a track on this label the other day and I couldn’t help but post another one! This is a great track, it is definitely a main room, hands in the air tune. Great bassline and some really nice snare fills, brilliant!

Format:B – Magic Button

Format:B have been on my radar for a while with their productions. This track compliments their previous two releases as it’s of a similar kind of style. Their last release was the Coltrane track which I absolutely caned! If you liked that, then check dis!

Tocadisco ft Roland Clark – Phoenix

This is a LOT heavier than anything I’d usually post about but there is something I really like about it and I just can’t put my finger on it! It’s got that ‘bass in the place London’ and ‘Eat Sleep, Rave, Repeat’ kinda sound to it which usually I can’t stand. I like this though, see what you think! Released on Toolroom Records.
