Paul Sirrell – What You’re Feeling

This one is out on Orange Groove Recordings as a part of the Paul Sirrell vs Surreal Pill EP but this one deserves a mention on its own! A very well put together track with a nice vocal over some well produced drums and a kick-arse blippy bassline stab. I love a well constructed track that actually does something after the main drop, and this is exactly that! Huge tune, check it out!

Weiss – Weiss City Vol 2 EP

This EP is released on the mighty Toolroom Records. The whole EP is amazing! First up is ‘If I Ever Dance’ and this one hooked me simply because of the vocal used, one word…. WOW! Second on the EP is ‘Devil In The Sky’, nice deep chords and yet another fantastic use of a vocal hook, love it! Last up is ‘Ghetto Boy’, slightly deeper than the other two and is so well produced, love the deep bass stabs, the sirens etc. Awesome EP!

Forget Me Not – Tear Up

This is something a little different to what I usually post, nice deep and techy track out on Fat! Records. There’s just something about this tune that I love. Can’t get enough of that side-chained vocal and blippy bass riff, such a good breakdown too! Awesome tune!

Shadow Child ft Takura – Friday (MK Medicine Dub)

There’s actually a few versions of this track floating about, with mixes from The Prototypes and Maison Sky on the general release. We are going to focus on this little gem, MK has created a really old skool sounding remix, takes me way back to the 90’s. I could only find this one available on iTunes and not Beatport. Check. it. out.

Filthy Rich – Movin On EP

Quite a chilled EP from Filthy Rich. Loads of 909 drums, warped basslines and rhodes sounds which give them an old Garage feel. This is a 3 track EP out on Materialism, all the deep heads and old 4×4 garage heads need a bit of this!

Solution – Feels So Right (The Remixes)

I’ve been posting a lot of previews lately, but rest assured that as soon as they are released I will be updating the links so you can buy them. I am merely showcasing the tracks and linking my subscribers to the ‘listen now’ samples. This release is an absolute monster! Fresh from Toolroom Records, the original mix came out a while ago and now there are four juicy remixes to sink your teeth into. The ‘Friends Within’ remix was recently played by Annie Mac on Radio 1 a while back which went down really well, I’ve been waiting on the release of this for a while now and it’s all set to be released on Monday 25th November. Not long!

Toolroom’s write up on this is:
A timeless classic that has been sampled, referenced and aspired to since its inception, Toolroom Records now presents a fresh new remix package of Solution’s unforgettable ‘Feels So Right’ from some of today’s most exciting producers, Friend Within, Lars Vegas, Joe T. Vannelli and WhiteNoize.

One of New York’s finest and most prolific DJs, Victor Simonelli was one of the early pioneers of the unique NYC underground dance music movement that is now religiously followed by the clubbing faithful the world over. Having already been involved in many high profile projects, it was his release of ‘Feel So Right’, under the guise of Solution, that cemented Simonelli’s status among the house elite.

UK man of the moment, Friend Within, delivers a fresh, deep & rolling update of the original, already receiving strong support with its first airing from Annie Mac (BBC Radio 1) and Shadow Child (Rinse FM); a sure fire underground hit if ever there was one.
With a strong reputation for solid house grooves, Dutchman Lars Vegas digs out the old school synths to deliver an energetic and cleverly pitched take on ‘Feels So Right’; this mix is infectious and will be heavily playlisted across many genres of DJ.
Next up, renowned Italian producer and DJ, Joe T. Vannelli’s ‘Diva’ Remix takes no prisoners; it’s a heavy, techy, peak time onslaught taking the original to totally new and diverse territory.
Following a string of successful remixes and releases, America’s finest disco house duo WhiteNoize deliver an up to date take on ‘Feels So Right’. Keeping the soul and ethos of the original, their remix is a tribute to their style, keeping it accessible to all.

A stunning set of remixes to compliment a true house classic.

Nicholls & Dime ft Emma Black – Different Kinda Sound

Something quite deep for ya! This is the first release for UK producers Nicholls & Dime and a big one it is too! The original mix has an amazing vocal laid over a really bumpy bassline. The remix to this is by David Penn, I follow Davids work closely and he doesn’t disappoint once again. He takes the track a touch deeper and makes this mix his own. Personally, the original mix does it for me. Set to be released on 25th November and I can’t wait. I’ll put the Beatport link in this post when its released.

Mason – Wombat / Maybe

This was a bit of a strange find, I found these two tracks completely separately online and discovered they were part of the same release. Two of the three releases here are right up my street and the other is a pop/rock track that isn’t really my thing. Mason have produced some great bits over the years, I featured one of their releases earlier this year on this blog. Another biggie, check it out..

Philip Bader – The Groove

A lovely piano riff complimented by a nice deep bassline in this one. Released last month on Dantze Records, I initially missed this but I was pointed to it through a friend. Big tune!
