Out now on Rezonation Music is this banger by Paolo Viez. There are actually 4 mixes to this release but we are focusing on the original, you can hear the other three by clicking the Beatport link below. I know this tune is going to do well as it has a massive breakdown with a big riser and eventually dropping into a huge percussion organ rhythm pattern, seriously this goes off! I feel that the sample given here on Soundcloud is way too short at just 52 seconds but you get the jist of it! ‘Av a listen!

Will Gold – Three Tribes EP

Massive main room house EP released on Floorplay Music by Will Gold. This is a two part EP with the main track being ‘Two Tribes’ which is a very high energy track. Big breakdown, riser and drop into a main room banger, I expect to hear this everywhere soon! The second track is called ‘Manhattan Groove’ which has a huge bassline riff sitting under some big techy drums and building synths. Both tracks are gonna get hammered guaranteed! Big release for Floorplay..

Sergio Pardo, Joan Roca & DJ Gray – Now / Your Body

Something fresh on Family Grooves and trust me, this is a biggie! Two tracks on this release, the first being a track called ‘Now’. Very upbeat with some lovely tech drums and an awesome bongo sounding fill, some nice stabby vocals and an infectious bass pattern… awesome! The second track is entitled ‘Your Body’ and is another bouncy tech house tune. I particularly like the vocal stabs in this! The breakdown is a great mix of deep, chopped up vocals adding a nice little rhythm before the big drop into a big bassline. This is going in the gig bag today, will definitely be playing this on radio and out in the clubs… You need this!

Nick Curly – Wake Me Up (Mathias Kaden’s Rhythm Remix Edit)

Big tune on the mighty Defected Records. This is part of a remix package but I wanted to just focus on this one. Fusing a lovely deep bass pattern with amazing drums and some big snare fills. My favourite feature of this track is the drums and after listening to them you can definitely see why this is the rhythm remix. Worth a listen

Mario Ochoa – Trolls EP

Nice two part EP released on Bitten Recordings. The first tune is the title track called ‘Trolls’ and is a nice bouncy tech house track with some nice filtered breakdown and layering. Quite a chilled tune for Mario Ochoa methinks but I love it. The second track is a main room banger, nice stabby synths and complex drum pattern. I love this tune and will definitely be playing it out. Hear that drop…BIG!

Sonny Wharton – Pandemonium

Something fresh from the head honcho at Whartone Records, although, this one is out on Skint Records! Any true lover of the old skool rave days will absolutely love this one. BIG piano’s with some breakdowns, builds and huge drops! Listen closely and you’ll hear a few familiar samples too. One of my favourite Sonny Wharton tracks to date and thats saying something as he has some incredible tunes! Why are you still reading this?… Buy it!

Sebastien Leger – Waves Of Life

Sebastien Leger is a name that needs no introduction, I have reviewed countless of his tracks in the past and this is another worth shouting about! Fresh on 1605 Music Therapy, this is one for a big sound system. A big bouncy rhythm with a blippy chord pattern, loads of builds and a nice little drop. I want to hear this in a big club soon! Due for release on 20th January.

Preview: Edgar VM – Feel It / Love My Funk Soul

Coming soon on Caballero Recordings, Edgar Vm has put together this awesome two-part release. The first track is called ‘Feel It’ and consists of some nice complex, almost tribal sounding drums with some nice snares in the breakdown. Very well produced, one for the dancefloors! The second track is ‘Love My Funk Soul’, it has a nice upbeat feel with more complex drums, a great breakdown which rises and drops into a bouncy tech frenzy. Love this! Not sure of the release date at the moment, keep your eyes out!

Preview: Chris Malinchak – If U Got It (Mark Knight Remix)

Well it doesn’t get any bigger than this. Since 2003 Toolroom Record’s Head Honcho, Mark Knight, has been setting the dance music scene alight. Mark’s productions are inspiring, creative, faultless and with his iconic sound, this track is no exception! Even the biggest icons in dance music deserve constant recognition and gratitude for the music they give us. This Mark Knight remix of Chris Malinchak is already taking Radio 1 by storm, championed by pretty much every dance DJ. It’s going to be a biggy, and definitely will rank up there in Beatport! Let’s see if Mark Knight can hit the top spot when this is released, 26th January 2014. We hope so, as we absolutely LOVE this track!

Hot Since 82 – Hot’s Groove (Little Black Book)

Sensational Leeds based producer, Hot Since 82, has absolutely nailed it with this genre defying track on Jaymo & Andy George’s Label, Moda Black. Released late last month, it’s a sultry blend of deep melodic bass house, future garage beats, and essential house sounds. I have a distinctly eclectic taste in music, and absolutely love what this track brings to a set. Whilst not a mailroom dance floor destroyer, it’s no doubt a set defining moment for any seasoned clubber or jock, with it’s masterful break and build that gives me goosebumps (i’m not joking, my hairs are on end typing this). It’s that ‘this is it’ moment. A cut to change the mood, and define your intention. It’s that track you cannot get out your head the day after, as you cut together a montage of the ‘night before’ in your head, with that knowing smile. Pure musical ecstasy.

DJ PP – Just Nina (Jerome Robins Groove Mix)

Something new on Gabriel Rocha’s label ‘PP Music’ by the man himself. I have decided to write about the Jerome Robins remix of this track as it’s by far my favourite, but I have linked the Beatport link to show all four mixes. As you will hear, this track is a complete rework of an absolute classic – Nina Simone’s ‘Sinnerman’, which I’ve heard been done many times before. Unfortunately most reworks don’t see the light of day and the most successful was a few years ago out on Toolroom Records. Jerome Robins has remixed DJ PP’s version and incorporated a nice flowing bassline pattern. This is a serous remix, I can’t wait to play this out!
