UMEK & Heartik – Unlock My Synth Vein

Something fresh on 1605 Records. I gotta say, I absolutely love this! It’s got a really nice melody with a great breakdown, build and drop. This has a slight oriental feel if you ask me, it’s awesome! I will certainly be dropping this both in the clubs and on my radio show. Big bass hook and big techy drums, this is a winner!

PREVIEW: Basspin ft Dyanna Fearon – One To Watch

I got a heads up on this one from Grant Nelson himself. So far all I know of is Grants mix and a remix from Sonny Fodera. Two completely different versions due for release at some time in January on Beatdown Music. Grants remix gives that real old skool sound with choppy stabby vocals and some amazing synths, I want this mix BAD! Sonny Fodera goes for a pitched down vocal with a nice little piano riff over a nice deep bumpy bassline.. quality! Love it! Keep an eye our for the release!

Coyu & Ramiro Lopez – Y.E.A.H.

Released on 30th December on Suara Recordings, this follows in the labels already sterling reputation (pardon the Anchorman quote!). A really infectious bassline and a quality vocal on this track, I honestly can’t wait to hear it on a big system. This is gonna get hammered in the clubs! ‘Av a listen!

Siwell – Give It Up

Okay so I’ll hold my hands up and admit that I was really late with this release as it came out on the 9th December, and I was debating whether it was too late to write about it at all BUT I have heard it being played out and on radio so I thought it deserves to be written about, I mean, just hear it and you’ll know what I mean! Released on Sphera Records and there’s two mixes to this release, an original and a new skool mix. I’m not gonna reel off the elements of the tracks, lets just say they are now in the gig bag and will be staying there for a while! Check them out for yourselves..

Carlos Manaca – Tha Bass

Now here’s just a nice, bouncy tech house track! The tech mix has a nice little synth hook with a deep vocal, the deep mix has some aggressive stabs with a nice eerie tech feel. An all round winner of a release, I can imagine moving to this in the early hours on a big club system. Released on Magna Records, get it!

Pagano & Reza – Turn Up The Music

Forthcoming release on My Digital Enemy’s label ‘Zulu Records’. Pagano & Reza have put together this big bouncy house stomper. Huge infectious bassline that is definitely going to rock a dancefloor, another huge tune for this label and I can wait for this to be released! Unfortunately we all have to wait until 13th January..

Kaiserdisco – La Cabrilla

Im not usually a massive lover of techno as it’s usually too deep for me, but occasionally I stumble across some bits that I really love.. this falls into that category! Fresh from Kaiserdisco, here is a two track release called La Cabrilla. The original mix is awesome, I really like the builds and breakdowns all the way through the track and love that elements of the track are added and subtracted throughout. The next is a remix by Sian Speedball, it has the same blippy pattern as the original but some tougher drums with plenty of hats. I would definitely struggle on deciding which mix to play out.. hmm..

Leftwing & Kody – I Know EP

Big label, big producers! Leftwing & Kody have put together this massive two track EP for Off Recordings. The first track is ‘I Know’ which has a deep acid sounding bassline sitting under a nice drum rhythm and a choppy male vocal, great tune! The second track is called ‘It Was Our’, it’s slightly deeper than the first track with a dark bassline, but the vocal is more uplifting and soulful. Both tracks are very well produced and I can guarantee they are gonna be on every deep djs playlist. Not due for release until 13th January 2014.

Don Diablo & CID – Got Me Thinkin’

Huge track released on Steve Angello’s label ‘X Records’. Well this Soundcloud sample starts right near the breakdown, it has some choppy stabby vocals and a big long riser building up to a mahoosive drop! I haven’t had the pleasure of witnessing this one on a club system yet but I’m sure this weekend it will played on thousands. Watch out for this one as I know its gonna get played everywhere!

X-Press 2 & Sonny Wharton – Watching Octavia

This is the 100th release on Whartone Records and what a banger it is! The original mix is a really nice bouncy tech track with some dark elements and great shuffle drums, definitely main room material and a must play. The second mix is a remix by Marco Lys, I recently blogged about another one of Marco’s amazing remixes and this one is up to the same high standard, with a big breakdown and a massive drop into an amazing tech stomper. Get this in your bag… NOW!

Samma Lone – Da Pressure

Something new for InStereo Recordings. Three different mixes on this release, an original mix and remixes from Whitenoize and Jerome Robins. The original mix consists of a fantastic soulful gospel vocal over a lovely funky yet soulful rhythm, brilliant! The Whitenoize remix is a bouncy tech house version with a stripped back vocal, huge build up and BIG drop. Finally, the Jerome Robins remix is slightly more relaxed than his normal stuff but well produced and he makes great use of the vocal. If I had to choose, the Whitenoize remix would be the mix I play out but a great track all round and definitely worth a purchase!
